Overall I learned that the Judicial Branch was seen as the weakest link out of All the Branches, but in reality, it’s the strongest. In addition, the reasoning behind why the Judicial Branch is more powerful compared to the other branches is because Judicial Branch has the power to rule laws or Government actions that violate the constitution. The Judicial Branch is also responsible for deciding or looking over the meaning of the law, whether to pass a law or determine whether a law breaks the rules under the constitution which is why the Judicial is so important to our government. To summarize, this was my favorite topic, and I enjoyed learning about it in depth and gaining a new perspective on this specific branch.

But first, we need to understand what an electoral college is and its purpose in our democracy. According to a website called archives.gov, an electoral college is a process in the united states to help elect President or Vice President. Therefore the primary purpose an electoral college serves is to help spread power to elect the president across fifty states. In addition, the electoral college offers many benefits and will provide evidence from sources on why the electoral college is so important. Therefore I will present an example from a website called Georgia.gov, stating, “It was designed to ensure that the more populous states didn’t overpower the smaller states when choosing the nation’s leader.” This sentence, “It was designed to ensure that the more populous states didn’t overpower the smaller states,” is crucial because it explains how beneficial the electoral college is, such as maintaining power throughout all states, specifically for smaller states.
Another helpful example that an electoral college offers is from a website called history.house.gov states, “When voters go to the polls in a Presidential election, they vote for the slate of electors who have vowed to cast their ballots for that ticket in the Electoral College.” This part of the sentence, “When voters go to the polls in a Presidential election, they vote for the state of electors who have vowed to cast their ballots for that ticket,” is significant because it shows how the Electoral College helps voters cast their polls for the presidential election. Have you ever thought of how the American presidency came to exist? Hi everyone I will be presenting a documentary from YouTube called “The Ultimate Guide To The Presidents” by History Channel which is about a 43-minute video. In addition, this documentary connects to my government class because it portrays the history of the United States in its early days such as its presidency affected the present-day United States of America’s democracy positively. Overall the documentary helped deepen my knowledge of government course topics because learning about how the presidency was formed gave me an insight into how America was exploring the unknown or experimenting with this new national government system at the time since no other country has tried it which was exciting and very interesting to me. Above all This led to the main point I believe that is presented in the documentary is most significant during the introduction to a new system as having the most effect on America’s presidency were the events of the first election and The Constitutional Convention. To summarize I will be presenting evidence from the documentary on why I believe the most significant parts of Americas presidency history are The first election and The Constitutional Convention.
The subject of this paragraph will be explaining important events that happened during the early days of the America presidency during 1789-1825. Therefore I agreed that the most significant historical parts of the presidency are The first election and The Constitutional Convention. In addition, I will be presenting evidence from a documentary on YouTube called “The Ultimate Guide To The Presidents” by History Channel in the section Constitutional convention states “Well the founding fathers claimed that King George III was an abusive executive So they didn’t give the president of Unilateral power, They established strong courts, A strong legislative, and Relatively weak chief.” This sentence “So they didn’t give the president of Unilateral power, They established strong courts, A strong legislative, and Relatively weak chief,” is significant because this indicates how the founding fathers discussed and agreed on how much power a president should have in this new government. Another example from a documentary on youtube called “The Ultimate Guide To The Presidents” by HistoryChannel but this time in “The first Election” section states “The first presidential took place on February 4th,1789, 69 electors met in their respective states and cast two ballots, The winner would be president and the runner up, vice president, Washington swept the first ballot with all 69 votes while John Adams, became vice president. This sentence “The first presidential took place on February 4th,1789, 69 electors met in their respective states and cast two ballots” is significant because this was the first-ever presidential hosted in America where George Washington himself become the first president. Therefore I choose these quotes because they conveyed how much of an impact The First election and The Constitutional Convention had on America’s history and on its democracy present day.
